Thursday Summary:
Materials Specialist works on a variety of duties in support of material flow into and through the manufacturing facility, as well as arranging product delivery to our customers. This individual will demonstrate proficiency in the ERP system and MS Office applications, performing all aspects of materials management/inventory control, including timely release of jobs in the ERP system, receiving, kitting, packaging and shipping/logistics, and maintaining all materials and records for production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform ERP transactions related to receiving parts, storing inventory, transacting materials, kitting, and labeling parts.
Inspection of incoming material and paperwork.
Preparation of outgoing shipments including packaging, pack slip generation, labeling, and arranging for shipment pickup from various carriers.
Print and issue job travelers
Physical and equipment-assisted material handling, using forklift and other material handling equipment
Monitoring and reporting inventory levels/locations, production part shortages, and kitting progress to internal and external stakeholders
Maintain inventory of non-BOM items such as shipping and shop supplies
Monitor and troubleshoot ERP transactions and inventory discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy
Participate in meetings as a Materials representative
Coordinate and expedite flow of materials between departments and work areas according to schedules or department priorities
Cycle counts and organization of full physical inventory counts
Valid driver's license and clean driving record for occasional driving to/from suppliers and customers to pick up or deliver parts
Follow Zepher safety procedures, including the use of personal protective gear such as eye and ear protection, and gloves as needed
Understand, follow, and contribute to the improvement of relevant Zepher procedures and work instructions
Maintain clean and organized inventory and receiving areas
Occasional, unplanned, off-hours work to support company deliveries as needed
Some Assembly of parts including rivets, part marking and bag and tag per customer requirements.
Other duties as assigned
3 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
High attention to detail, a "self starter"/strong work ethic, and strong time management skills
High School Diploma, college degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Ability to pass a forklift qualification test, and operate other various material handling equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
Physical activities can include standing, repetitive motion, walking, lifting, pushing or carrying heavy objects up to 40lbs
