JOB DESCRIPTION CSI
- a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Planner. The Planner responsibilities include material planning, material forecasting, Production support, proposal support and overall alignment with master schedule and material quoting, all in support of Department of Defense (DoD) and aerospace programs. This position helps to maintain material and production alignment with program and contractual requirements. Working in a highly regulated environment, the Planner partners with Procurement, Materials, Engineering, Production, Quality, Program Management, and Contracts to ensure production plans meet customer requirements while maintaining compliance with applicable government regulations, including ITAR and DFARS. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical abilities, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, ERP/MRP experience, and a strong understanding of defense manufacturing operations. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
Material planning, forecasting and reporting. Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks to customer commitments. Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and Production to resolve material shortages and expedite critical components. Work closely with Program Management, Engineering and Contracts to ensure material and production schedules align with contractual obligations and delivery requirements. Provide material pricing for quoting and proposal support. Coordinate with Program Controls to ensure production schedules support Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) requirements. Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting by providing accurate material status.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and retain a DoD Top Secret security clearance 3+ years of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or supply chain planning experience within a defense, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent manufacturing planning experience. Strong understanding of material planning, inventory management, demand planning, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Advanced analytical and quantitative problem-solving Resource planning and scheduling Data-driven decision making Risk identification and mitigation Effective written and verbal communication Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables;
XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH
; SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IFERROR, nested logical formulas; Data validation; Conditional formatting; Large dataset analysis; What-if analysis; Data visualization)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting DoD contracts or government-funded manufacturing programs. Experience supporting programs governed by Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines. Working knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS).
