Supply Chain Manager SUMMARY:
This position concentrates on understanding supply chains applied to purchasing/sourcing, production/operations, or logistics/distribution. Access, interpret and leverage data to help companies make decisions for the sourcing, production, and distribution of products. Ensure that the company's materials and products keep flowing and that supply meets the internal or customers' demand, is delivered on time, and keeps the company on budget.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze existing Supply Chain Process and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency. Develop and implement strong standard operating procedures. Eliminate any manual process kept outside of Oracle ERP by automating the process through Oracle ERP system. Identify cost reduction opportunities in the supply chain domain and work towards driving the cost down. Analyze sales forecast, past sales trend and recommend optimum inventory to meet the customer demand. Monitor and review performance of third-party service providers like warehouse operators and logistics providers. Provide necessary training to the warehouse operating team to ensure that they function in timely and accurate manner. Assist in sourcing & purchasing quality Raw Materials, Packing Materials and Services at competitive rates. Implement, track and adapt to agreed KPI's to drive supply chain performance. Prepare weekly and monthly management reports to demonstrate department performance against the set KPIS's. Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK such asISO 9001.
Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with their work. Maintain an understanding of the Quality policy and how they personally contribute to meeting DK objectives and goals Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them. Other projects as required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fieldsLanguage Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Work Conditions:
This position requires working in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels, primarily sitting at a computer workstation. Employees will need to be able to lift light objects, have close vision for computer work, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions.Similar remote jobs
