Supply Chain Analyst -
Forecasting & Planning Venus/Midlothian, TX Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. |
Fully Onsite Duration:
12-months+ contract
Pay:
Up to $55/hr (W2) Our client is a well-established utility strengthening its supply chain planning function. They are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support material demand forecasting and supply planning for Transmission and Distribution construction and maintenance work. This role will focus on translating project and work plans into material forecasts, replenishment plans and actionable supply strategies while helping minimize shortages and excess inventory. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Build and maintain material demand forecasts for Transmission and Distribution construction and maintenance work. Translate demand forecasts into replenishment and supply plans, including stocking levels and reorder points. Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust planning models and assumptions as project schedules and work plans change. Identify potential material shortages and excess inventory risks and recommend actions to address them. Partner with project, engineering and field teams to understand upcoming work and associated material requirements. Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure planning reflects current inventory, materials on hand and inventory in transit. Develop and report planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns and stock availability. Support planning continuity during the transition from Velocity to Manhattan warehouse management systems. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, planning gaps and opportunities to improve material availability and inventory efficiency. Education and Experience Experience in demand forecasting, materials planning, supply planning or a related supply chain function. Experience within an electric utility or other asset-intensive industry is preferred. Understanding of how construction and maintenance project schedules drive material demand is beneficial. Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets. Experience developing or reporting supply chain and planning KPIs. Experience with Maximo or a comparable ERP system.
APICS/ASCM
certification such as CPIM or CSCP is a plus. Bachelor's degree. Knowledge and Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable supply plans. Understanding of demand forecasting, replenishment planning, stocking levels and reorder points. Ability to monitor forecast accuracy and identify changes in demand or supply requirements. Strong understanding of inventory availability, shortages, excess inventory and inventory turns. Experience with planning and reporting tools; Power BI, Tableau or Cognos experience is a plus. Aera AI experience is a major advantage. Manhattan warehouse management experience is a major advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project, engineering, field, inventory and warehouse teams. Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. ...
