Job Description
DescriptionAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The ISCaP team is looking for an exceptional Supply Chain Operations Specialist to help us build on this mission as the volume of products, services, and locations continues to grow. The ideal candidate is one who thrives in ambiguity, is very customer obsessed, focused on operational excellence and is willing to take high degree of ownership for their program vision and execution of ideas. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, make data driven decisions, and apply good judgement to manage escalations, competing priorities, and deliverables is essential to this role. Successful candidates will be able to balance think big with realities of delivering on customer promises today. They will also have excellent analytical and creative thinking skills, and the ability to break down complex problems with no clear answers (and at times, conflicting data) into simple, innovative solutions and/or clear, measurable implementation plans. - Serve as a key member of the Supply Chain Operational Excellence (POET) team in helping to manage and deliver Infrastructure capacity to select regions around the world..
- Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of supply chain activities.
- Develop new analytical models for supply chain solutions.
- Execute strategic business objectives while working with key internal stakeholders to improve the supply chain with the latest internal and external information.
- Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management, focused on improving forecasting accuracy and associated impacts.
- You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals.
- Keys to success in this role include exceptional analytics, judgment, and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience
- 5+ years of process improvement, operational analysis, and financial analysis experience
- Experience leveraging data through at least one tool such as excel, SQL, Tableau, QuickSight, or Python to influence cross-functional prioritization, identify improvement opportunities, and drive solutions
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product companyPreferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Experience with value stream mapping or process flow analysis to identify systemic improvement opportunities
