Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Wave Planner to join our supply chain operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the flow of products through our distribution network, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and coordinating transportation and warehouse activities. Duties Develop and maintain accurate wave plans for order fulfillment, balancing inventory levels with demand forecasts using advanced data analysis tools such as Tableau and Excel. Coordinate with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize shipping schedules, freight movements, and inventory stocking strategies. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, vendor management, and logistics teams to ensure timely sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials and products. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies, implementing process improvements to enhance overall workflow. Utilize SQL and other data collection methods to analyze warehouse distribution patterns, demand planning accuracy, and inventory control metrics. Manage category management initiatives by analyzing pricing strategies, supplier performance, and trade compliance regulations for international trade operations. Support shipping & receiving operations by coordinating freight logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and customs compliance teams. Requirements Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role with strong warehouse management system (WMS) proficiency. Demonstrated expertise in transportation planning, freight management, and inventory management systems such as ERP platforms like AS400 or similar. Hands-on experience with warehouse distribution, materials handling equipment such as forklifts, manual handling procedures, and warehouse operations best practices. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as customer service, logistics management, and production planning. Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify issues within the supply chain and implement effective process improvements aimed at cost reduction and efficiency gains.
