$92,000 - $105,000 Are you a strategic sourcing professional who enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, and partnering cross-functionally to bring new products to market? We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Buyer II or Senior Strategic Sourcing Buyer to support sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and procurement strategy within a growing manufacturing organization. This position is ideal for a sourcing professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to drive cost savings, supplier performance, and successful product launches. What is the
Job:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers that meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Lead sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, terms, and contracts. Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Product Development, Production, and Materials teams on new product introductions. Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) and support sourcing activities for new product launches. Analyze supplier performance, lead times, costs, and procurement data to drive business decisions. Support supplier relationship management, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Utilize ERP/MRP systems, D365, and advanced Excel functionality to support reporting and analysis. Present sourcing updates, project status, and KPI performance to leadership. What is
Needed:
5-10+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience. Deep category management and sourcing expertise. Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations. Strong commercial, contractual, and supplier management experience. Ability to lead cross-functional sourcing efforts and mentor less experienced team members. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Purchasing or Supply Chain certification preferred. Project management experience preferred. HVAC, manufacturing, industrial, or technical product experience preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and D365. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
