In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, analyzing supply chain data, and optimizing warehouse operations to ensure seamless stock availability. Your expertise will drive process improvements, support procurement strategies, and enhance overall inventory control. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP. Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, stock shortages, or overstock situations to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with procurement, merchandising, and logistics teams to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and optimize inventory replenishment processes. Utilize data mining techniques and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to visualize trends, forecast demand, and support demand planning initiatives. Manage warehouse distribution activities including materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock rotation to maximize efficiency. Perform financial analysis related to pricing strategies, inventory valuation, and supply chain costs to inform decision-making. Lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing warehouse operations, reducing costs, and increasing accuracy in inventory management. Skills Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory control software. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel data analysis, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Proven ability in negotiation, procurement processes, and supplier management within a logistics or supply chain environment. Deep understanding of demand planning, materials management, production planning, and logistics inventory management. Technical proficiency with ERP systems like AS400 or SAP; familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies. Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary; experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus. Strong cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between sourcing teams, warehouse staff, finance departments, and external suppliers. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics operations and contracts related to 3PL (third-party logistics) providers or shipping & receiving processes.
