A Mining Manager is responsible for planning future mine production, overseeing the development and tunneling of the mine, checking the quality of stone, rock and minerals, and inspecting the mine for danger. Carry out generic management duties, such as hiring staff, organizing staff training, overseeing financial administration, and liaising and negotiating with suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.

Job Description

This position will oversee daily extraction, crushing, and processing operations. In a family-owned company, the role blends heavy industrial management with hands-on leadership, cost control, and a strong company culture. Core Responsibilities  Oversee daily mining, crushing, and screening operations to meet volume targets and product specifications  Coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance for fixed and mobile plant equipment (crushers, screens, loaders, etc.)  Enforce MSHA regulations and environmental standards  Manage the P&L budget, control operational costs, and optimize the supply chain  Recruit, train and mentor quarry staff.  Work closely with owners Requirements  5+ years of operational experience in quarry management  Deep understanding of granite/aggregate processing, material sizing, and mining equipment  Hands-on leadership style  Strong quarry equipment maintenance background a plus
