Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Portable Crushing Foreman to oversee the day to day safe and productive operation of a portable crushing plant. Location will be on a job to job basis throughout a defined geographical area concentrated in Central and Northern Michigan. Travel will be required on a project to project basis. Duties Supervise daily operations on the mining site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and MSHA standards, including those of customers. Manage and operate the processing plant including but not limited to: mobile equipment operation/maintenance, plant maintenance, plant relocation and setup, and required reporting/paperwork. Produce quality product at an efficient and productive rate for customers. Operate heavy equipment. Understand maintenance and troubleshoot problems efficiently. Maintain effective communication with coworkers and Superintendent. Ensure regulatory, compliance, and legal rules are followed. Train and mentor team members in best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship. Troubleshoot issues that arise on-site, providing solutions that minimize delays and maintain productivity. Experience Proven experience as a Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction or mining industry. Strong knowledge of mining processes, materials, and equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to make repairs. Ability to provide written reports and keep organized files. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively. Strong planning capability, self starter, motivated. Equipment operation of crushers, screens, conveyors, loaders, motors required. Ability to torch, weld, fabricate. Must be willing to work in a multifunctional role in various weather conditions and other circumstances.
