Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE
The Training General Supervisor is responsible for overall development and training of the sites Underground and Surface crews, as well as all Maintenance Crews.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
Foster a culture of continued professional development among the surface and underground crews at the mine site Alongside Mine Trainers, develop training plans that ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and completion of processes Develop and execute Training Programs in each designated department Administer and expand current and future Apprenticeship programs. Ensure compliance with training methods, deadlines, and federal training regulations. Foster relationships with Training vendors Participate in design reviews for upcoming headings and work plans Provide support and assist with managing and resolving emergency situations Inspect underground workings and ensure compliance with training programs and Eagle Mine standards Partner with leadership group to ensure alignment with Eagle Mine goals Deliver training content as deemed necessary Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ten (10) or more years of management experience with emphasis on training and development Process Development experience required Hard rock mining experience preferred. Ability to work safely and effectively in an underground mining environment. Solid understanding of all underground mining equipment.KEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
