EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Diamond Drill Supervisor - Surface & Underground Diamond Drilling Corexplore Drilling Services Corporation., is a drilling company serving the Canadian and United States mineral exploration market, is currently seeking experienced Diamond Drill Supervisors for surface and underground operations across Canada and the United States.
Target Start Date and Duration:
The position is long term and available immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Diamond Drill Supervisor leads and coordinates assigned drilling projects to deliver safe, productive, and cost-effective operations. Reporting to the Drill Superintendent, this role is accountable for maintaining the highest safety standards and maximizing crew performance. Some of the specific tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Supervise crews to ensure duties are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable legislation
  • Maintain a strong understanding of and adherence to all relevant safety regulations and safe work practices
  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained and instructed to perform their work safely and productively
  • Apply progressive discipline when required to address violations of company policies or safety standards
  • Identify and communicate potential or existing health and safety hazards to crew members
  • Address and correct any substandard conditions or unsafe work practices
  • Always ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices
  • Perform all duties in a manner that does not endanger personnel, equipment, or the environment
  • Develop and implement Emergency Response Plans for assigned projects and ensure crews are fully informed
  • Ensure communication systems are in place, functional, and effectively used at all drill sites
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with crews, the Drill Superintendent, and client representatives
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives on site
  • Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging worker feedback and continuous improvement
Valid Training and Experience Requirements:
    WHMIS 2015
    • Isolation Theory Training
    • Working at Height Training
    • Valid First Aid and CPR
    • Crane/Rigging Training
    • Surface or Underground Diamond Drilling Common Core (or equivalent)
    • Supervisor Training
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Supervisor on Surface or Underground core drill rigs.
