Position Overview:
The mining foreman oversees and manages daily operations at the project site, upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. The foreman is responsible for supervising crew members and ensuring projects are completed safely , within designed specifications, and in compliance with regulations and company policies. Additionally, this role will lead project operations and collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and the OPPSCAT leadership team to coordinate resources and heavy equipment to meet designated deadlines. This is a full time position located in the South Texas area, travel will be required as needed with the possibility of assignments in other areas of the United States down the line.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in contract mining or mass excavation with at least 5 years of management experience, including oversight of projects and crews; OR 10 years of management experience in a heavy civil management position.
- Strong operational knowledge of mining industry and/or heavy civil processes.
- Proven track record of managing projects safely and efficiently, with strong communication skills, decision making, and leadership capabilities.
- Experience running equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and haul trucks is required.
- Previous experience supervising crews is required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage priorities, and make judgement calls both independently and in collaboration with upper leadership.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and familiarity with MSHA certifications and standards.

Housing is provided if needed, travel from your location (Within the United States) to the state the jobsite is located in will be reimbursed pending approval. Foreman receive either a company provided pickup truck or a truck allowance. Full benefits package includes time off, health insurance, 401K, and life insurance.
