OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes by maximizing the effective utilization of the resources provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

: Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in continuous miner, longwall maintenance and/or utility work. Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates with Shift Supervisor all maintenance and/or utility projects. Supervises all aspects of safe and efficient maintenance of equipment and processes. Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Task training of personnel as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

: Minimum of five (5) years of underground coal mining maintenance experience Previous supervisory experience preferred Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communications skills both written and oral Excellent safety and attendance record Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain MSHA Electrical Certification Willingness to work weekends

: Maintenance Coordinator Sufco Mining Operation Sufco mine is located in Sevier County, Utah approximately 30 miles northeast of Salina and 125 miles south of Salt Lake City. Sufco employs approximately 425 individuals and operates a longwall and three continuous miner sections. The mine produces 3.5 to 4.0 million tons per year of high BTU, low sulfur coal. Sufco is truck served with ability to reach local and international markets via access to local rail transloading facilities.
