THE OPPORTUNITY
Peninsula Seniors is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and service to older adults throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding communities. The Executive Director will serve as the organization's chief executive and will work in close partnership with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, members, donors, community partners, and other stakeholders. This is an opportunity for an accomplished nonprofit leader who is passionate about older adults and community service and who brings the vision, relationship-building skills, operational discipline, and fundraising experience necessary to strengthen and expand an established community organization.

Peninsula Seniors is a community-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. Through programs, activities, services, and opportunities for connection, the organization helps older adults remain engaged, active, independent, and connected to their community. Located in Rolling Hills Estates, California, Peninsula Seniors serves as an important community resource for older adults throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding areas. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director will provide overall leadership for Peninsula Seniors and will be responsible for advancing the organization's mission while ensuring strong operations, financial sustainability, effective programs, and meaningful community engagement. Working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will develop and implement organizational priorities and serve as the principal ambassador for Peninsula Seniors. The successful candidate will be a visible, accessible, and relationship-oriented leader who can connect effectively with older adults, families, volunteers, donors, staff, community leaders, and other organizations.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Strategic & Organizational Leadership 1. Provide overall leadership and direction in alignment with the organization's mission, values, policies, and strategic priorities. 2. Partner with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, organizational priorities, and long-term growth. 3. Serve as a visible spokesperson and ambassador for Peninsula Seniors. 4. Identify opportunities to expand the organization's outreach, impact, and relevance, while raising awareness, within the community. 5. Build and maintain a positive, inclusive, collaborative organizational culture. Programs & Member Services 1. Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of programs and services for older adults. 2. Ensure programs respond to the changing interests and needs of the community. 3. Encourage innovation, participation, volunteer engagement, and meaningful connections. 4. Monitor program effectiveness and member satisfaction. 5. Identify opportunities for new programs, partnerships, and services. Fundraising & Development 1. Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. 2. Cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, sponsors, and community supporters. 3. Support grant development, donor stewardship, special events, sponsorships, and other development initiatives. 4. Work closely with Board members and volunteers to strengthen fundraising and community support. 5. Develop strategies that promote long-term financial sustainability. 6. Oversee all financial & operational management 7. Oversee the organization's annual budget and financial performance. 8. Ensure sound fiscal management and best practice internal controls. 9. Monitor revenues, expenses, cash flow, and financial projections. 10. Work with the Board and financial professionals to ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources. 11. Oversee facilities, technology, insurance, risk management, contracts, and administrative systems. 12. Ensure compliance with applicable nonprofit requirements and organizational policies. 13. Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain qualified staff. 14. Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance goals. 15. Encourage professional development and teamwork. 16. Engage, support, and recognize volunteers and expand volunteer program. 17. Foster an environment in which staff and volunteers feel valued and connected to the organization's mission. Community Relations & Partnerships Develop strong relationships with local government, healthcare and social-service organizations, businesses, foundations, civic organizations, and other community partners. Represent Peninsula Seniors at community meetings, events, and public forums. Increase awareness of Peninsula Seniors and its programs throughout the community. Develop partnerships and collaborations that advance the organization's mission.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 1.
The successful candidate will combine nonprofit leadership experience with a genuine passion for serving older adults. Required Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 2. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks, Excel, Word, TEAMS, OneDrive and SharePoint. Capable to effectively read and/or edit organizational audits. 3. At least five years of progressively responsible leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit, community-service, senior-services, healthcare, education, or related organization. 4. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, operations, staff, and organizational resources. 5. Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors. 6. Demonstrated fundraising, relationship-development, or resource-development experience. 7. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. 8. Strong organizational, financial, and problem-solving abilities. 9. Ability to work collaboratively while exercising sound independent judgment. 10. Commitment to the mission and well-being of older adults. Preferred Qualifications 1. Previous nonprofit executive or senior-management experience. 2. Experience with major donors, grants, sponsorships, or development programs. 3. Experience working directly with older adults or senior-serving organizations. 4. Familiarity with nonprofit governance and California nonprofit organizations. 5. Experience leading strategic planning or organizational growth initiatives.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Peninsula Seniors offers competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. The Executive Director position is based in Rolling Hills Estates, California, with regular participation in community activities and events throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding communities.
Salary Range:
