Through compassionate services, community partnerships, and individualized support, we help families regain stability, achieve self-sufficiency, and transition into permanent housing. The Executive Director is the chief executive and strategic leader of Greeley Family House, responsible for ensuring the organization's mission is fulfilled through effective programs, sound financial management, strong community relationships, and visionary leadership. Position Summary The Executive Director (ED) provides overall leadership, direction, and management of Greeley Family House. This includes strategic planning, fundraising, financial oversight, staff supervision, program development, community engagement, and partnership building. The ED works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the mission and ensure long-term organizational sustainability. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Strategic Vision
- Lead the development and execution of strategic plans that advance the mission and strengthen organizational impact.
- Foster a culture of compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular, transparent communication to the Board of Directors and support effective governance.
- Represent the organization as a visible, credible, and mission-driven leader in the community. 2. Program Oversight
- Ensure high-quality transitional housing services that support family stability and long-term success.
- Oversee program evaluation, data collection, and reporting to ensure compliance with grants, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to expand or enhance services based on community needs and best practices in homelessness prevention. 3. Fundraising & Resource Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including grants, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and events.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, government agencies, and community partners.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and ensure timely reporting. 4. Financial Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal accountability in partnership with the Board Treasurer.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial standards and state/federal regulations.
- Manage organizational resources responsibly to support long-term sustainability. 5. Staff Management & Organizational Operations
- Recruit, supervise, and support a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed workplace culture.
- Ensure effective operational policies, procedures, and systems.
- Oversee facility management and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for families. 6. Community Engagement & Advocacy
- Build strong relationships with local agencies, service providers, government entities, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for Greeley Family House.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that support families experiencing homelessness in Greeley and Weld County. Qualifications Required
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, social services, housing, or a related field.
- Strong skills in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
- Experience managing budgets and organizational finances.
- Ability to build and maintain strong community partnerships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to equity, trauma-informed care, and family-centered services. Preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in nonprofit management, social work, public administration, or related field.
- Experience working with families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
- Familiarity with Colorado nonprofit regulations and funding sources.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
