Position Summary:

The Strategic Partnership Director, Florida Prosperity Initiative at the Florida Chamber Foundation will draw from a strong passion around securing Florida's future to proactively research, identify and secure executive partnership meetings, serve as the organization's subject-matter expert on the Education Freedom Tax Credit, and drive the follow-up that converts partnership conversations into activated partnerships and contributions supporting the Florida Prosperity Initiative and the Step Up, Step Further Scholarship Fund. Working in direct support of the President & CEO, this position is the research, coordination and follow-through engine behind the Foundation's highest-level partnership outreach. Valuable member of the Florida Chamber Foundation team as it works strategically to expand economic prosperity and educational opportunity in every Florida ZIP code. As the Strategic Partnership Director, you will be instrumental in how this organization builds and sustains the partnerships that fund the Florida Prosperity Initiative and the Step Up, Step Further Scholarship Fund. In this role you will be positively impacting the lives and quality of living for all Floridians as you will be strategically working toward the greater goals of the organization by championing free enterprise, the Florida 2030 Blueprint, and expanded educational opportunity through the Education Freedom Tax Credit. Become an integral driver within the team as the organization works to connect Florida's business community to the Zip Code Leadership Model and to scholarship opportunities that change the trajectory of a child's education. The partnerships you help build fund the Florida Prosperity Initiative and the scholarships that change the trajectory of a child's education. Responsibilities Research and qualify prospective corporate partners, building detailed profiles that cover corporate structure, Florida tax liability and payroll footprint, decision makers, giving history, and existing Florida Chamber relationships. Map warm paths to those prospects through the Florida Chamber's board of directors, board of governors, regional chairs, investors, and Foundation trustees. Secure partnership calls and meetings for the President and CEO, then prepare the briefing that makes each one count: background, relationship history, recommended ask, likely questions, desired outcome. Own the space between executive touchpoints. Answer partner questions, supply documentation, and keep opportunities moving without needing the CEO for every exchange. Follow up within 48 hours of every partnership call and within a week of every event, with recap notes, requested materials, and clear next steps. Serve as our internal expert on the Education Freedom Tax Credit, covering eligibility, contribution mechanics, tax treatment, corporate payroll deduction, and program timelines. You will build the FAQs and talking points the rest of our staff relies on. Prepare qualified opportunities for handoff to the Step Further and Step Up for Students teams and confirm each transition lands. Keep CRM records current and produce the pipeline and forecasting reports the CEO uses to prioritize.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred. Five to eight years in strategic partnerships, business development, fundraising, prospect research, economic development, workforce initiatives, or a closely related field. A track record of researching and securing meetings with executive-level decision makers. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to compress complex information into a briefing an executive can actually use. Exceptional writing. Much of this job is making a persuasive case in a few short paragraphs. Proficiency with a CRM such as Salesforce or Blackbaud, and with prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo. The organization and follow-through to carry a high volume of simultaneous opportunities without dropping any of them. Comfort supporting a senior executive with discretion and a high standard for accuracy.

Travel Responsibilities:

Occasional in-state travel for key partnership meetings, conferences, and Florida Chamber and Foundation events. Occasional evening or weekend participation in events may be necessary.

Success Criteria:

Your success is measured by executive outreach made effective: the quality of your research, the caliber of the meetings you secure, how well prepared the CEO is walking into each conversation, and how disciplined the follow-up is afterward. You will not carry an individual revenue quota, and the position is not commission based. You will also become the organization's internal subject matter expert on Florida's Education Freedom Tax Credit, including how the Step Up, Step Further Scholarship Fund and corporate payroll deduction work in practice. That expertise is what lets you research the right prospects, brief the CEO with substance, answer a CFO's questions credibly, and move opportunities forward between executive touchpoints.

Desired Experience and Traits:

Experience with non-profit work or a mission-based organization, chambers of commerce, tax credit or scholarship programs, corporate philanthropy, economic or workforce development, prospect research, public or higher education, government affairs, or nonprofit partnership development. Compensation:

• Competitive base salary (range $65,000 - $80,000) + bonus opportunity
