Executive Director The Vegan Museum Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time From $40 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Management Major gift prospect cultivation Project management Business development experience within non-profit sector Newsletters (communication methods) Strategic partnerships Leadership Full Job Description Executive Director The Vegan Museum seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead our growing nonprofit. Working closely with the Founder/President, you will drive fundraising, build strategic partnerships, oversee operations, and expand public awareness of our mission to preserve and share the history and benefits of vegan living. We plan to establish a permanent location for our travelling exhibit and to build exhibits for other vegan organizations. Key Responsibilities Lead fundraising efforts, including major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and donor cultivation. Develop sustainable revenue streams and execute fundraising campaigns. Build partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and supporters. Represent The Vegan Museum at events and within the nonprofit and vegan communities. Oversee communications, public relations, newsletters, and outreach. Plan and support fundraising and educational events. Qualifications 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a proven record of securing grants and donor support. Experience in nonprofit leadership, project management, or operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently. Passion for the mission and values of vegan education and advocacy. Compensation $40/hour during an initial 1-3 month part-time period. Transition to full-time with increased compensation and benefits based on performance.
