HOPE RESTORED RECOVERY HOME JOB TITLE
DIRECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Hope Restored Recovery Home is responsible for the supervision of staff and clients in residential setting. The Director shall oversee day-to-day operations at the home and work to ensure a safe, supportive, and caring environment. The Director is expected to cooperate as a team member with Hope Restored Recovery Home Board of Directors and other staff and team members. He/she is knowledgeable of the recovery process and the problem issues presented by clients participating in Hope Restored Recovery Home.
QUALIFICATIONS
GED and/or high school diploma (college degree preferred) Possess a valid Indiana Driver's License and clean driving record. Current auto insurance Previous experience working in the field of recovery preferred Knowledge of signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, appropriate interventions and treatment modalities, and evidence-based approaches to recovery Minimum 3 years of sobriety if participating in a program of recovery CPR/First Aid Certification Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with clients in a treatment setting Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, supervisors, and other team members Ability to form positive relationships with other community agencies
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Responsibilities:
Ensure programming is in compliance with INARR standards Interview and screen all clients for admission following established protocol and criteria Facilitate client intakes and discharges Collect weekly fees from clients and manage payments and bookkeeping in conjunction with Treasurer Keep record of money received and spent, donations received, manage receipts, and oversee budget in conjunction with Treasurer Maintain database detailing client information and individual client files Manage waiting list of prospective clients Become familiar with and implement program policies and procedures Enforce house rules and regulations Complete weekly evaluation with each client to review recovery program, progress, demerits, and goals Facilitate weekly house meeting and daily morning meditation Monitor client schedules, curfew, passes, and visits Administer drug tests Apply appropriate rewards and sanctions for client behavior as outlined in policy and procedure manual Coordinate care for clients to access outside resources and services Schedule and/or administer programming such as support groups or skills training and track client attendance Provide director's report to board of directors on a biweekly basis in preparation for biweekly board meetings Attend Board of Directors board meetings as needed Coordinate transportation services or provide transportation with the approval of Board of Directors House Ensure facilities are in compliance with INARR standards Oversee daily schedule, chores, and client responsibilities Complete meal planning on a weekly basis and create grocery list Ensure all household cooking, cleaning, and washing appliances are in proper running order and schedule repairs when needed Assign daily chores to clients to help with upkeep of home Oversee food safety and food handling ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation Growth and Development Work with Board of Directors to suggest revisions to policies and procedures Work with fundraising committee to plan and implement fundraisers Seek out and grant opportunities and complete grant applications Work with Board of Directors to create short- and long-term goals for the continued growth and development of Hope Restored Recovery Home Outreach Responsibilities Establish and maintain a good working relationship with entities likely to refer self-sobered and/or recently detoxified clients to Hope Restored. Seek referrals and make reasonable efforts to make sure all beds are utilized. Manage Hope Restored Recovery Home Facebook page, website, and email Communicate with community members inquiring about Hope Restored Recovery Home Create marketing materials and other public information to inform the community about Hope Restored Recovery Home Establish partnerships and relationships with community businesses and entities who are interested in supporting
Hope Restored Recovery Home Staff/Volunteer Responsibility:
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and termination of staff Interview and recruit potential volunteers for programming, meal prep, transportation, etc. Manage volunteer database and maintain contact with volunteers Supervise Resident Staff members, programming staff, and any volunteers Monitor the recovery and well-being of Resident Staff members Meet with the Resident Staff at least once each week to establish both short-term and long-term goals, discuss any problems with clients, and evaluate both their own progress and individual performance This description is intended to describe the essential job functions, the general supplemental functions and the essential requirements for the performance of this job.
