Gloucester Music Works is a nonprofit, music education organization dedicated to making quality music education accessible to all members of our community. Our goal is to provide expert instruction and access to instruments, rehearsal spaces and recital opportunities regardless of economic status. We are seeking an Executive Director to collaborate with the Board of Directors to define and implement the strategic growth plan of the organization. With seed funding from Brace Cove Foundation, we are currently operating in a 4,000 SF, purposebuilt facility in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The Executive Director's responsibilities include oversight and development of all programs, hiring and leadership of both internal staff and volunteers, fundraising and managing relations with collaborators, donors, and the City of Gloucester.

Necessary Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education At least 5 years in a music teaching role Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated adaptability, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit Ability to network effectively with businesses/donors Preferred qualities: Prior experience in a nonprofit management role Familiarity with Cape Ann music environment Budget and financial management experience Demonstrated success in fundraising including grant writing Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and ASAP Fluency in

Spanish Schedule and Benefits:
