Job Description

Director of Development & Planned Giving Department:
Philanthropy Position Summary Phoebe Ministries is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Director of Development & Planned Giving to lead and expand our planned giving and legacy giving program. This leadership position is responsible for cultivating meaningful donor relationships, growing long-term philanthropic support, and providing strategic direction for planned giving initiatives while partnering with the Vice President of Advancement and Marketing to advance the organization's fundraising goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow Phoebe's planned giving and legacy giving program. Cultivate, solicit, and steward current and prospective planned giving and major donors. Build relationships with donors, families, financial advisors, attorneys, and community partners. Educate donors on charitable giving opportunities including bequests, trusts, gift annuities, and beneficiary designations. Develop marketing and educational materials to promote planned giving opportunities. Coordinate donor recognition and stewardship activities. Collaborate with Vice President of Advancement and Marketing on fundraising strategy and advancement initiatives. Prepare reports and maintain accurate donor records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Represent Phoebe at community events, donor meetings, and fundraising activities. Supervise assigned staff and promote a positive, Faith in Action work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Finance, or a related field required. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in fundraising, development, planned giving, donor relations, or a related field. Knowledge of estate planning, charitable giving strategies, and donor stewardship. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, organizational, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor database systems. Why Join Phoebe?
