All three leadership positions report directly to the board. The Executive Director advances the organization's mission, strengthens its financial sustainability, and cultivates relationships with donors, foundations, partners, and the broader community. The Executive Director leads fundraising and development efforts, builds partnerships that expand the organization's artistic and educational impact and provides strategic direction for marketing and communications. The Executive Director ensures that Attack Theatre's programs, operations, and administrative systems support the company's programmatic vision and long-term sustainability. The Executive Director manages the Director of Operations, Development team, and fractional CFO to ensure strong alignment between artistic and educational programming, organizational resources, and community impact. This role requires a collaborative and entrepreneurial leader who can champion Attack Theatre's programmatic impact while strengthening the organization's financial sustainability and community engagement.

$90,000 - 110,000 Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Leadership Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization. Responsibilities include:
Lead organizational planning in partnership with the Artistic Directors and Board of Directors. Ensure alignment between artistic programming, education initiatives, and organizational sustainability. Foster a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture that supports artists, staff, and community partners. Represent Attack Theatre publicly within the arts community, civic organizations, and philanthropic networks. Fundraising and Development Lead fundraising efforts to sustain and grow the organization's programs and impact. Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement fundraising strategies across individual, foundation, corporate, and government funding sources. Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, and institutional partners. Oversee grant strategy and collaborate on proposal development with staff and consultants. Partner with the Board of Directors to expand fundraising networks and engagement. Maximize earned revenue from on-site programming, fee-for-service, education, other artistic programs and Attack Theatre's co-location "Hub". Partnerships Support the artistic and programmatic vision and ensure strong alignment between artistic and educational programming and organizational resources. Strengthen relationships with community organizations, schools, universities, presenters, neighborhood, and cultural partners. Responsibilities include:
Represent Attack Theatre within Pittsburgh's cultural ecosystem and national arts networks. Cultivate relationships with community organizations, presenters, and partners that expand engagement with the company's work. Maintain strong relationships within the Lawrenceville neighborhood and with the organization's shared-facility partners. Ensure that administrative, financial, and marketing resources support the artistic work of the organization. Build relationships with organizational, artistic, and community partners. Lead the vision and partnerships for Attack Theatre's co-location non-profit "Hub". Marketing and Communications Leadership Provide strategic leadership for the organization's marketing and communications efforts. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaign messaging, communications strategy, and audience engagement initiatives. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization. Ensure communications priorities align with fundraising, audience development, and program visibility. Board Leadership and Governance Work closely with the Board of Directors to support strong governance and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include:
Provide support to the Board including meeting agendas, priorities, reporting, and strategic goals. Engage board members in fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement. Support board development, recruitment, and committee engagement. Financial Oversight Ensure the organization operates with strong financial stewardship and sustainability. Responsibilities include:
Work with the fractional CFO and financial services provider to oversee budgeting and financial planning. Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Support long-term financial sustainability through revenue diversification and strategic planning. Organizational Management Provide leadership and supervision for the organization's administrative structure. Responsibilities include:
Manage and collaborate with the operations team to ensure effective organizational systems, HR practices, and operational infrastructure. Work with the Artistic Directors and education staff to ensure programs are supported by appropriate administrative resources. Ensure administrative functions, human resources, facilities coordination, and organizational systems are operating effectively.
