About the Mission The Executive Director is the champion of The Avenue's unique community impact. We are looking for a visionary leader with a deep-seated passion for:
Distinctive Programming:
Delivering a one-of-a-kind music format to our community 24/7.
Community Support:
Providing local nonprofits with unprecedented airwave access for the greater good.
Artist Advocacy:
Offering a vital platform for local and regional artists to share their music. The Role As Executive Director, you will hold primary responsibility for the strategic direction, financial health, and cultural vitality of the station. You will lead a dedicated team, engage with our Board of Directors (BOD), and serve as the primary "storyteller" to our supporters and partners.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Set the overall direction for the station and manage the performance and well-being of the staff.
Revenue & Fundraising:
Formulate and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies. You will drive growth across donor development, sponsorships, and special events.
Financial Stewardship:
Collaborate with the BOD and staff to create annual budgets, ensuring strict adherence and long-term financial sustainability.
Relationship Management:
Act as the face of The Avenue. You will meet with donors, clients, and vendors to articulate our unique benefits and secure vital partnerships.
Team Development:
Support and manage direct reports, fostering a culture of results and local outreach.
Growth Innovation:
Work closely with the team to identify and seize new opportunities for expansion and community engagement. Key Attributes & Qualifications We are seeking a results-oriented leader who can inspire internal staff and external stakeholders alike.
Proven Leadership:
Extensive experience in organizational management and team leadership.
Financial Acumen:
Strong background in financial management and accountability.
Fundraising Expertise:
A track record of success in local fundraising or sales, ideally with existing contacts in the market. Experience in the nonprofit sector is a significant plus.
Strategic Mindset:
The ability to plan for long-term station growth while simultaneously overseeing daily fundraising initiatives.
Communication Skills:
Expert-level ability to tell The Avenue's story in a way that engages donors and partners.
Mission Alignment:

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
