The organization is developing a small‑home community with on‑site resources that help veterans rebuild independence through life‑skills training, community partnerships, and a safe, dignified place to call home. Position Overview The Executive Director serves as the chief executive and sole employee of the organization. This role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on operational work. The Executive Director leads fundraising, donor relations, marketing, volunteer coordination, and daily administration while working closely with the Board of Directors to advance NVH's mission. Future Responsibilities Guide the transition of NVH from development to operational phase. Establish policies, procedures, and systems that promote effective program delivery. Ensure the effective delivery of supportive services and life‑skills programming that promote veteran independence. Track program impact and outcomes to guide continuous improvement and long‑term sustainability. Recruit, supervise, and lead staff to support effective operations and mission delivery. Qualifications Required Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently. The work environment is flexible, with access to a local office in Rhinelander and the option for periodic remote work when appropriate. The position requires local and regional travel, with most days ending at home, and may require occasional evening or weekend hours to support events, donor engagement, and community activities.
