Job Description
Mission Fly Minds is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring youth through hands-on STEM education, innovation, and leadership development. Position Executive Director (Independent Contractor, 1099)Part-time | Remote with periodic in-person meetings/events in Northern Virginia/Fredericksburg region. Why This Role Lead a growing STEM nonprofit by executing board strategy, expanding partnerships, fundraising, delivering quality programs, and building sustainable operations. Key Responsibilities Execute Board-approved strategic priorities Lead fundraising and grant development Oversee STEM camps, after-school and community programs Recruit and develop STEM instructors Build community and corporate partnerships Provide monthly dashboards and board reports Maintain compliant and efficient operations Ideal Candidate Mission-driven leader Experience in nonprofit, education, operations, or business leadership Strong relationship builder Organized, transparent communicator Comfortable working independently and with a governing board Passion for youth and STEM Compensation Performance-based independent contractor agreement.
