Job Description

Lead With Purpose. Drive Community Impact. NAMI Four County Ohio is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director to lead a growing mental health nonprofit dedicated to advocacy, education, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. As the local affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness, this role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful change, strengthen community partnerships, and expand access to life-changing resources across our region.

What You'll Do:
Provide strategic leadership in partnership with the Board of Directors Oversee operations, programs, and organizational growth Lead fundraising and development efforts (grants, donors, partnerships) Serve as the public face and advocate for mental health awareness Build and lead a mission-driven team of staff and volunteers Ensure financial health, compliance, and sustainability Performance & Accountability Day-to-day responsibilities will be guided and refined on a quarterly basis The Executive Director will work with the Board to establish clear, measurable goals each quarter Success in this role will be evaluated based on performance metrics tied to growth, community impact, financial health, and program effectiveness This structure supports accountability, focus, and continuous improvement
Who You Are:
A nonprofit leader who thrives in mission-driven work Experienced in leadership, fundraising, and community engagement Passionate about mental health advocacy and systems change Skilled in building partnerships across diverse stakeholders Comfortable working closely with a Board of Directors in a performance- driven environment Motivated to drive measurable impact and growth Brings firsthand experience with mental health challenges—either personally or through supporting a loved one—and uses that perspective to lead with empathy, authenticity, and purpose Preferred Requirements Bachelors' degree in a community mental health-related field (e.g., social work, counseling, public health) or equivalent work experience preferred Make an
