Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and a commitment to excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of organizational operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. Your leadership will inspire teams, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive program development that aligns with our mission to empower and support those we serve. What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is organized, curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a small nonprofit where everyone pitches in. The ideal candidate will bring some combination of the following: At least five years of experience in nonprofit management, arts administration, community development, education, environmental programming, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. A genuine belief in the importance of the arts and the natural environment in building strong communities. Experience building relationships, and working collaboratively with people from different organizations and backgrounds. Experience with fundraising and/or grant writing and administration. Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort speaking with community members, donors, Board members, funders, artists, educators, and public officials. Good judgment and the ability to solve problems creatively. The ability to work independently without losing sight of the importance of collaboration. Experience managing a budget or working with financial information. Good time-management skills and the ability to adjust when priorities change. A commitment to equity, accessibility, inclusion, and treating people with respect. An interest in community-based work and community organizing. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Zoom, and common organizational technology. Familiarity with QuickBooks and donor-management software is helpful. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as the position occasionally requires travel throughout the region. Ability to successfully complete a background check due to working with children and youth. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who cares about community and wants to help SCAN grow in a thoughtful and sustainable way.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
