This interim leadership role serves as the primary staff liaison to the Board and is responsible for ensuring that organizational goals and Board priorities are met. The position oversees all staff, membership growth, fundraising, partnerships, advocacy, programs, and Chamber operations while strengthening organizational capacity and long-term sustainability. Compensation, Expectations & Governance Annual salary: $95,000. Full-time, exempt position. This role reports to and serves at the will of the Board of Directors. This is a location-bound position based at the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Consistent on-site presence is expected to support staff leadership, member engagement, community partnerships, and day-to-day operations. The Interim Chamber Director is expected to maintain regular business hours, Monday through Friday, while also providing leadership presence during early morning, evening, and occasional weekend meetings, programs, events, advocacy activities, and community engagements as needed. Travel throughout the State of Wisconsin is required to represent the Chamber, support members, cultivate strategic partnerships, engage elected officials, attend events, and advance organizational priorities established by the Board of Directors.

As an interim leadership role, the Interim Chamber Director operates within the authority delegated by the Board of Directors. The Interim Chamber Director is expected to bring recommendations, opportunities, risks, and significant decisions to the Board for discussion and approval. The intent of this structure is to maintain strong governance oversight while empowering the Interim Chamber Director to effectively lead the organization, execute Board priorities, and advance the Chamber's mission and vision. The Board of Directors retains ultimate authority and oversight for matters that materially impact the organization, including strategic direction, major financial commitments, significant programmatic changes, vendor and contractual relationships, organizational structure, capital projects, and other decisions that may create financial, legal, operational, or reputational risk for the Chamber. Key Responsibilities

• Execute Board-approved strategic priorities, annual goals, policies, and organizational initiatives.
• Serve as the staff liaison to the Board of Directors and provide regular operational, financial, and strategic updates.
• Directly supervise all Chamber employees and contractors.
• Lead membership growth, retention, engagement, and overall member value strategies.
• Oversee Chamber programs, signature events, advocacy initiatives, and economic development activities.
• Cultivate sponsors, donors, corporate partners, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
• Achieve annual fundraising and sponsorship goals established by the Board of Directors through donor stewardship, sponsor engagement, and relationship management.
• Identify and pursue sponsorship and fundraising opportunities to support Chamber priorities.
• When appropriate, pursue grant opportunities that support established programs and services.
• Work with the Finance team on budget development, fiscal oversight, audits, reporting, and long-term sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, contracts, and applicable laws.
• Represent the Chamber at meetings, conferences, public events, and partner engagements throughout Wisconsin.
• Provide leadership during organizational transition and help position the Chamber for its next phase of growth. Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree is required in business administration, public administration, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, political science, economic development, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Ten or more years of leadership, management, business development, nonprofit, chamber, association, or economic development experience.
• Experience working with a Board of Directors and community stakeholders.
• Strong fundraising, sponsorship, partnership development, and relationship management skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing organizational operations.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout Wisconsin as needed.
