Job Description

Position Summary:
The Decision Support Analyst (DSA) supports the development, maintenance, and usage of decision support systems within Conway Medical Center (CMC). The DSA works with executive leadership and department managers in providing data-driven insights to support strategic advancement and performance improvement, and monitoring productivity. The DSA should have strong communication and project management skills with the ability to transform data into knowledge and understanding.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, or health care administration required. Experience A minimum of three (3) years data support experience required. Specific experience in healthcare/hospital-based data support work required. Licensure/Certification/Registration None Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (HFMA) or other relevant certifications preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work functions may include troubleshooting system issues to ensure the continuing operation and maintenance of the program as well as reporting and new implementation services. Coordinate upgrades, maintain databases, write ad hoc reports, and maintain data dashboards used for various systems. Support the development of annual cost reports and SHA reports. Perform profitability and feasibility analysis on service lines and services. Perform trend analysis on volumes and statistical measures Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, department heads, and members of leadership. Effectively utilize strong organizational skills. Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint. Navigate and utilize Cerner as well as other organizational systems. Regularly exercise independent judgement. Provide core customer service. Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
