This position is ideal for a professional with 5-7 years of manufacturing quality experience who is ready to grow into a senior leadership role. Approximately 60% of the role will focus on quality management and 40% on continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities Quality Management- Lead day-to-day manufacturing quality activities.
- Develop standardized inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Improve first-pass yield and reduce internal defects.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
- Develop quality metrics and dashboards. Supplier Quality
- Develop supplier scorecards and corrective action processes.
- Improve incoming material quality.
- Partner with Materials on supplier development. Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen events.
- Develop Standard Work and visual management.
- Reduce waste and improve process flow.
- Support value stream improvements. Problem Solving
- Lead structured problem solving using PDCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, Process Mapping, and Poka-Yoke. New Product Introduction
- Support pilot builds, manufacturability reviews, inspection standards, and production validation. Customer Quality
- Analyze warranty trends, investigate field failures, and improve customer satisfaction. Leadership
- Train supervisors and employees on quality standards and Lean principles.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement. QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of manufacturing quality experience.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems. Preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt.
- ASQ CQE or CQT certification.
- APQP, PPAP, and Supplier Quality experience.
- Experience in consumer durable goods or sporting goods manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC). Key Performance Indicators
