E3R is seeking candidates to fill a Military Operations Analyst
  • Senior Operational SME opening.
The Military Operations Analyst serves as a senior operational subject matter expert responsible for supporting the analysis, development, integration, assessment, and delivery of Joint Fires Network capabilities. The position provides operational expertise to ensure technical solutions, mission applications, experimentation activities, and program initiatives are aligned with operational requirements and deliver meaningful capability to warfighters. The Military Operations Analyst works across operational, technical, engineering, development, test, and programmatic organizations to analyze complex military problems, identify operational requirements and capability gaps, establish priorities, and translate operational needs into executable capability objectives. The position may serve as the operational lead or capability owner for assigned initiatives, leading cross-functional and cross-department teams from initial problem identification through requirements definition, solution development, integration, assessment, fielding, and continued improvement. As part of this role, the Military Operations Analyst provides operational subject matter expertise in support of Joint Fires Network development and integration. This includes working with operational users, engineers, developers, vendors, and other stakeholders to translate operational needs into actionable requirements, assess capability against intended operational workflows, identify deficiencies and gaps, and provide operational direction throughout development, integration, testing, and fielding. The position requires a highly effective leader capable of organizing complex and ambiguous efforts, establishing priorities and accountability across organizational boundaries, resolving barriers and dependencies, and driving delivery of operationally relevant capabilities. The individual will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and provide findings and recommendations to program leadership and senior decision makers.
Functional Description:
  • Serve as a senior operational advisor to program leadership, technical teams, and DoD stakeholders regarding military operations, operational requirements, capability employment, and advanced warfighting technologies.
  • Lead assigned capability initiatives from identification of the operational need through requirements development, solution definition, integration, assessment, fielding, and continued capability improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-department teams responsible for delivering operational capabilities, establishing objectives, priorities, responsibilities, milestones, and expected operational outcomes.
  • Engage Operational Manager, operational users, and other DoD stakeholders to identify, capture, refine, prioritize, and communicate operational requirements and capability needs.
  • Evaluate potential technical solutions and determine how available or emerging technologies can be applied to satisfy operational requirements.
  • Identify capability gaps, dependencies, risks, and barriers and develop or recommend mitigation approaches to support successful capability delivery.
  • Provide operational direction and subject matter expertise to Mission Application development and integration efforts, ensuring capabilities remain aligned with operational missions, workflows, priorities, and intended users.
  • Conduct operational and technical analysis of U.S., allied, and adversary capabilities, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), operational workflows, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Plan and support multi-domain constructive, virtual, and live experimentation, demonstrations, integration events, and operationally focused testing of advanced warfighting capabilities.
  • Develop operational scenarios, assessment objectives, measures, data requirements, and evaluation criteria necessary to determine capability performance and operational utility.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of experiment, test, and operational data and develop findings and recommendations for program leadership and senior decision makers.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant military operations experience within one or more warfighting areas or domains.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting operational and technical analysis of military capabilities, CONOPS, operational workflows, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
  • Experience translating operational missions, problems, and user needs into requirements, capability objectives, and executable technical efforts.
  • Experience supporting development, integration, experimentation, testing, assessment, or fielding of military systems and capabilities.
  • Experience working across operational, engineering, software development, test, and program management organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex efforts, establish priorities, manage dependencies, resolve barriers, and drive activities toward defined operational outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, briefing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent efforts, and identify issues requiring management or leadership attention.
  • Experience operating within multi-level security environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Security Clearance Requirement :
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
Education Requirement :
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree desired.
