Job Description

Cimarron is seeking an Operational Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Key Duties:

Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and maintain standardized processes and technical documentation. Extract and aggregate operational information from multiple different sources of information to establish performance benchmarks and key operational measures. Author, publish, and maintain structured performance reports as a citizen developer using PowerBI to showcase operational health. Conduct comprehensive, in-depth analysis of operational workflows and mission-critical information to support informed decision-making. Apply intuitive analytical skills to identify systemic trends, pinpoint underlying causes of operational issues, and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency. Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration across diverse teams to ensure mission alignment and operational synergy.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use. Active Secret Clearance (or higher). 4 or more years of general, full-time work experience. Years of experience may be reduced with completion of advanced education. 2 or more years of direct experience extracting, consolidating, and analyzing operational information utilizing multiple data sources. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Hands-on experience developing and distributing performance reports using PowerBI. Proficient in writing SQL queries to extract, filter, and aggregate data from relational databases. Ability and willingness to learn dashboard design and development in BMC Helix. Strong intuitive analysis skills with a proven track record of identifying trends and performing root-cause analysis. General knowledge of Enterprise Environments. ITIL Certification (such as ITIL Foundations). This position is anticipated to close to applications on September 17, 2026.
