Our client, a global manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Specialist to join their dynamic team. The Continuous Improvement Specialist supports the CI Project Lead in driving Lean transformation across a high‑volume industrial operation. This role combines hands‑on mechanical capability with Lean problem‑solving, Kaizen support, and the ability to build practical solutions using materials already available onsite. Ideal candidates come from metal fabrication, welding, or mechanical environments and excel at creating carts, fixtures, shelving, and workflow improvements that directly support operations.

This role is the hands‑on engine of Continuous Improvement , turning ideas into physical solutions that improve flow, reduce waste, enhance ergonomics, and strengthen daily operations. The Specialist helps bring Lean concepts to life by building what the operation needs — quickly, resourcefully, and effectively. Kaizen Support — Assist in planning, preparing, and executing Kaizen events; gather data, map processes, and help teams identify waste and bottlenecks. Hands‑On Fabrication — Build carts, racks, fixtures, and workflow improvements using onsite materials; perform light welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed. Mechanical Problem‑Solving — Diagnose mechanical issues in work areas, design simple solutions, and support maintenance or engineering with practical improvements. Build & Implement Improvements — Turn improvement ideas into physical solutions; install new layouts, build storage systems, and support ergonomic enhancements. What's Needed? Background in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or mechanical assembly Ability to build carts, fixtures, shelving, and workflow improvements from available materials Experience with shop drawings, or reading mechanical prints (preferred)Ability to influence across departments and lead teams without direct authority Familiarity with Lean tools , Kaizen, 5S, and basic CI concepts Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving ability What's in it for me?
