Lutz, FL Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Checkpoint Firewall Operations Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier Utility clients in Lutz, FL.- Responsibilities
- : A Firewall Operations Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm's network firewalls. This will include working tickets for firewall change requests, working with projects to advise from a network security perspective, and troubleshooting network issues that from a firewall perspective.
- Network/firewall troubleshooting, including troubleshooting issues with Checkpoint firewalls and Cisco Routers/Switches.
- Planning, engineering, and implementing of firewall changes.
- Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and business partners for network security/firewall changes.
- Regular attendance of project meetings as a representative of the Firewall Operations team.
- Maintenance and support of network firewalls. Tasks including regular patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting of firewall hardware.
- Adherence to changing management process
- Technical writing to include documentation of firewall changes and documenting standards.
- Regular on-call rotation for firewall related issues.
- Additional responsibilities include the patching and maintenance of Checkpoint firewalls.
