As our new Continuous Improvement Specialist , you will be identifying and implementing strategies to optimize organizational processes using Lean, Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma, and other methodologies — leading value stream activities and coaching teams across the organization to achieve lasting operational excellence. What you will be doing As a key part of the Continuous Improvement team, you'll create impact by Leading cross-functional improvement initiatives that reduce lead times, lower costs, and strengthen quality across our manufacturing operations to support Grundfos's corporate growth goals.
Your main responsibilities are to:
Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify improvement opportunities, then apply Lean, TOC, and Six Sigma tools to develop and implement effective solutions. Lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation across Sales, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Quality, and other departments. Manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously from concept through execution, providing regular status updates and visibility to leadership. Train, mentor, and coach individuals across the organization in CI methodologies, fostering a team-oriented and change-driven culture. Leverage data analysis and visualization tools such as Minitab and Power BI to drive informed decision-making and track the impact of implemented changes. Champion change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices. What makes you a great fit Above all, you are a data-driven problem solver with hands-on experience in Lean, TOC, or Six Sigma methodologies, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence and coach others across a manufacturing organization. We would also imagine that you have: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, process engineering, quality, or continuous improvement. Technical proficiency in Lean, Theory of Constraints, and/or Six Sigma process improvement techniques. Ability to lead through influence. Project planning and management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Computer competency with Microsoft Excel, Minitab, Power BI, and ERP systems. It is a plus if you also have: Lean, TOC, and/or Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt). Experience with SAP ERP systems. Understanding of pump/rotating equipment principles or knowledge of international standards (HI, UL, FM, NFPA, NSF, CE, DOE). Why you will love working here We care! The salary range for this position is $72,200 - $102,165. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate's profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos's total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, IN.
