Night shift: Working hours Sun-Thurs 12am-8am EST. Hybrid. Fast-paced Operational role supporting the FX business. About Our Client Financial services firm specializing in the FX space. Office located in Iselin, NJ.
Job Description Shift Schedule:
Sunday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM EST. Key Responsibilities Monitor production and testing environments to ensure operational services run smoothly and efficiently. Oversee payment funding and settlement activities, escalating exceptions and service disruptions as necessary. Execute contingency and incident management procedures when critical processing deadlines are at risk. Complete scheduled operational tasks and system checks in accordance with established procedures. Identify, investigate, and escalate system, network, application, and data-feed issues impacting service delivery. Coordinate with clients, liquidity providers, financial institutions, market infrastructures, and other external stakeholders regarding operational activities and testing initiatives. Track key operational timelines and ensure critical market deadlines are successfully met. Deliver exceptional service and support to existing and prospective clients. Maintain compliance with applicable internal policies, regulatory requirements, sanctions controls, and anti-money laundering standards. Support user acceptance testing and operational readiness activities for new products, enhancements, and strategic initiatives. Partner with technology, risk, compliance, legal, and business teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance. Produce and distribute operational reports, management updates, and client communications. Contribute to process improvements, control enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives. Participate in projects by providing operational expertise, testing support, documentation updates, and implementation assistance. Assist in driving continuous improvement and strategic operational goals across the organisation. The Successful Applicant Strong understanding of international payments and financial market operations. Experience working in a high-volume, high-value, time-critical processing environment. Knowledge of payment systems, settlement processes, reconciliations, trade processing, and standing settlement instructions. Experience handling complex operational investigations and issue resolution. Demonstrated ability to interact directly with clients and external counterparties. Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging, connectivity, and industry terminology. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience using incident management, ticketing, or problem-management tools is advantageous. Ability to prioritise effectively and remain composed under strict deadlines. Preferred Background Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. Experience supporting critical operational services within a global financial services organisation. Prior exposure to banking, payments, treasury operations, settlement, or capital markets environments. Understanding of front-office, middle-office, and back-office workflows is preferred.
