JOB SUMMARY
: As a Continuous Improvement Specialist at LogistiQ, you will be a part of our Continuous Process Improvement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational improvement projects as well as working on cross-functional teams to commercialize innovative products in the facility. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will build a continuous improvement culture and drive change throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Develop and implement organization-wide process improvements in operations and in the business processes that support operations. Methods for achieving and sustaining improvements will be based on using continuous improvement fundamentals. Develop and implement continuous improvement principles to enhance work processes and output which leads to significant cost savings, improved customer service, improved quality, and improved safety for the organization. Develop and standardize data collection and reporting to quantify plan performance in achieving production and other operating goals including daily production, schedule compliance, preventative maintenance compliance and downtime. Process optimization in operations through evaluation of batch operations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), plant logistics, scheduling, and automation opportunities with implementation of improvements either through process changes and/or capital projects. Process optimization in processes that support operations including but not limited to new product introductions, batch sheet coordination, SOPs, and management of change. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvements in plant operations. Support change and foster cooperation. Develop procedural and process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Trains employees in the basics of lean manufacturing. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Six Sigma or Lean background with examples of application and results preferred; preferable skill set at the level of a Green or Black Belt. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Willingness to engage in impromptu and structured problem-solving sessions. Ability to be a collaborative and principled team player. Exhibits positive leadership at a role model level. Ability to operate with a strategic focus. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP system. Excellent reading and writing skills in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Strong interpersonal skills. Successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of prior manufacturing/process engineering/continuous improvement experience required. Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office-setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
