Operations Analyst. The hourly rate for this position is $22.92 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do: Eaton Corporation in Glenolden, PA is part of the Aerospace Group, Fluid and Electrical Distribution (FED) Division, located just outside of Philadelphia. Our plant manufactures a complete line of condition monitoring and accessory products for lubrication, hydraulic, chemical process, and refrigerant systems used in gas turbine engines, transmissions, gearboxes, and other fluid-containing systems across transportation, power generation, mobile equipment, mining, and manufacturing markets. We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Drexel University co-op student who will report directly to the site's Operations Manager. Site sales in 2026 are projected to exceed $90M. The operation is currently organized into five value streams, each led by a Value Stream Manager. Value streams are measured against the "High Five" metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP). The site is entering a growth phase that is expected to continue for several years.Primary Function:
The Operations Analyst supports the Operations team by analyzing business processes, operational data, and performance metrics to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. This role is ideal for a student seeking hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a professional business environment.Essential Functions:
- Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from the ERP system (SAP S/4HANA) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Support the implementation of an operational tiered management system for daily accountability using Eaton standards; ensure the system is structured, visual, and routine-based to enable rapid problem identification, escalation, and resolution
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Assist with process documentation, workflow mapping, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in LEAN Kaizen events, identifying root causes of operational issues, and proposing data-driven solutions
- Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as required ##
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a business-related degree, or equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Available for a typical six-month rotation (longer duration possible)
- Proficient in
Microsoft Excel Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Power Query and Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Completion of at least one prior co-op rotation (second or third rotation preferred) All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
