Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on problem solver to join our Operations team as a Production Readiness & Continuous Improvement Specialist . This role is responsible for supporting production readiness from Pre-Rig through Rigging, ensuring teams have the parts, materials, tools, equipment, and job kits they need before work begins. When something is missing or incorrect, this person will help resolve the immediate issue to keep production moving and then determine the root cause to prevent it from happening again. This is a floor-focused role that works closely with Pre-Rig and Rigging leadership while partnering across Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, and Engineering. The goal is to create an environment where employees can stay focused on building boats rather than searching, waiting, or working around process issues. What You'll Do Ensure Pre-Rig through Rigging has the parts, materials, tools, equipment, and job kits needed to complete scheduled work Work closely with Pre-Rig and Rigging leadership to understand upcoming production needs and ensure materials and resources are ready at the point of use Proactively identify shortages, incomplete kits, incorrect parts, missing tools, and other constraints before they impact production Respond quickly when an issue occurs to keep boats moving through the production process and minimize downtime Investigate recurring material, tooling, and process problems to identify the root cause and prevent them from happening again Work across departments to implement and follow through on long-term corrective actions Develop and improve standardized tool, equipment, and job kits for recurring production work Improve point-of-use organization so employees spend less time walking, searching, waiting, or leaving their work areas for what they need Support and maintain 5S workplace organization, including designated locations, labels, visual controls, shadow boards, and replenishment points Identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, kitting, BOMs, tooling, replenishment, and other processes that impact production readiness Track recurring issues and verify that corrective actions are working What We're Looking For Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, inventory, material flow, or continuous improvement Strong hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to identify root causes rather than simply address the immediate problem Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and communicate with employees at all levels Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and follow-through Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement principles is a plus What We Offer Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, company-paid life insurance, disability coverage, and more! 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays A collaborative, people-focused workplace built on craftsmanship and innovation Please note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
