Job Description

Investment Banking Associate Taureau Group, LLC Milwaukee, WI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Teamwork Interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Accounting Data interpretation Financial statement interpretation Master of Business Administration Accounting Full Job Description Join our award-winning team! Voted one of Milwaukee's Best Places to Work for five consecutive years (2021 - 2025), Taureau Group provides team members the opportunity to build a long-term career in an energetic and challenging atmosphere that values both individual effort and teamwork. As an Associate, you'll be a hands-on contributor on live M&A engagements from day one — working directly with business owners, entrepreneurs, and private equity sponsors to structure, market, and close deals that define the next chapter of their companies. You'll help drive sell-side and buy-side execution across business sales, divestitures, acquisitions, and recapitalizations, and you'll contribute to the new business development that fuels the firm's growth. This is a seat for someone who wants real deal responsibility early, works shoulder-to-shoulder with senior bankers on every transaction, and is building toward leading engagements of their own. Principal Accountabilities (Responsibilities) The duties identified below are the essential responsibilities of the position: Lead day-to-day coordination and execution of M&A transactions from engagement through close, working directly with clients and senior bankers. Craft compelling confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials that tell a company's story to the right buyers. Conduct rigorous company, industry, and buyer/investor research that sharpens deal strategy and surfaces the best-fit counterparties. Build and stress-test historical and projected financial models, translating the numbers into a clear narrative for clients and buyers. Value companies using multiple methodologies — comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow — and defend those conclusions in client and buyer conversations. Shape deal strategy and marketing approach alongside senior bankers, from positioning through negotiation. Build genuine relationships with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors that outlast any single transaction. Pursue ongoing personal and professional development in step with Taureau's growth — and your own trajectory toward leadership. Why Taureau Group Taureau Group is a relationship-driven M&A advisory firm built on respect, trust, and transparency — where Associates work directly alongside senior bankers on every deal, not behind layers of hierarchy. We invest in real mentorship and readiness-based advancement, so your growth tracks your capability, not your tenure. You'll get exposure to the full lifecycle of a transaction, direct client contact from early on, and a genuine path toward ownership and leadership within the practice — at a firm that takes deal intensity as seriously as work-life balance. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks. Education/Certification/Licensure Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or general Business; MBA preferred; FINRA licensing preferred. Experience Required 2+ year(s) of experience in investment banking or Corporate M&A or broader experience adjacent to a corporate finance role. Knowledge and Skills Required Exellent verbal and written skills Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting Motivated, self-starter with a desire to grow into leadership for the practice area Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Working Conditions Work is considered sedentary and performed mainly in a pleasant office environment with rare exposure to environmental factors Minimal safety hazards with general office working conditions Travel up to 15% To be considered for this position, please submit your résumé and cover letter to .
