- Accept and process telephone transaction and maintenance requests from institutional-level shareholders.
- Field shareholder inquiries regarding account setup, prior transactions, fund objectives, and performance.
- Provide prompt notification of trade activity to internal and external clients as required.
- Serve as point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Field inquiries and transaction requests from retail-level shareholders as required.
- Accurately process and maintain shareholder transactions.

Typical DayA typical day will involve a combination of shareholder calls, transaction processing, account servicing, and research. The specialist may receive a call from an institutional shareholder requesting a mutual fund transaction or account maintenance change, process the request, document the activity, and provide required trade information to internal or external clients.
Other calls may involve researching previous transactions, answering questions regarding account setup, or responding to inquiries about fund objectives and performance. The specialist may also handle transaction requests and inquiries from retail shareholders.
This is not simply a traditional customer service or call-center position. The person needs strong customer service and communication skills while also having the financial services background and attention to detail necessary to accurately process investment-related transactions.
