Job Description

Operations Manager - Moulton, AL Lunova Group is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer to identify an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day plant performance at a highly impactful production facility in Moulton, AL. This role will serve as the on-site operational leader, driving execution, performance, and team engagement while partnering with senior leadership on broader strategic initiatives. The Operations Manager will play a key role in shaping the future culture, structure, and operational performance of the site while partnering closely with leadership on both day-to-day execution and long-term strategy. About the
Role:
The Operations Manager will lead all day-to-day plant operations, acting as the primary decision-maker on-site. With no senior plant leadership present daily, this individual must be comfortable operating independently while maintaining close alignment with off-site leadership. This role requires a balance of hands-on operational leadership and people development. The ideal candidate will bring structure, accountability, and clarity to the team while maintaining a positive, approachable culture. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in improving communication across shifts, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and preparing the facility for future growth.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
Lead all daily operations across production and maintenance Serve as the primary on-site leader, making independent operational decisions Drive performance across key metrics including safety, quality, productivity, and cost Own plant KPIs, budgeting, and efficiency improvement initiatives Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices (6S experience preferred) Provide leadership and direction to a team of ~20 employees Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across the team Support and develop frontline leadership, including supervisors and leads Improve communication and coordination across shifts, including shift handoffs Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime Support future growth initiatives, including planned facility expansion and team scaling
Operations Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Steel, metals, refractory, or similar industry experience is a plus Experience in Lean manufacturing environments (6S strongly preferred) Proven ability to lead independently and make operational decisions with confidence Demonstrated success balancing people leadership with performance accountability Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives Ability to lead in a smaller, hands-on environment with broad responsibilities
Pay:
Up to $110,000.00 per year
