The Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and operational oversight for second-shift warehouse activities. This role initially oversees Shipping and Inventory Control and will expand to support Making and Packing as those functions become part of the second-shift operating model. The Operations Supervisor coordinates daily workflow, assigns labor, monitors performance, removes operational barriers, develops team members, and ensures strong communication across shifts and departments. A successful Operations Supervisor is a visible, solutions-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to balance people leadership with operational execution. This position plays a key role in maintaining safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and overall operational continuity. Set daily work priorities based on order volume, production schedules, staffing levels, and business needs. Assign team members to work areas and adjust labor throughout the shift to support operational priorities. Maintain a strong, visible presence on the warehouse floor to provide direction, coaching, and real-time problem-solving. Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and departmental performance to ensure operational goals are met. Ensure customer orders and inventory transactions are completed accurately and on time. Oversee picking, packing, order verification, and shipping activities to support customer delivery commitments. Coordinate with operational teams to ensure inventory availability and alignment with production needs. Lead, coach, train, and develop second-shift employees while setting clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and accountability. Address performance and attendance concerns consistently and in accordance with company policies. Support new-hire onboarding, training, and compliance with established safety procedures. Promote a safe work environment, document incidents appropriately, and address potential hazards. Provide clear shift-handoff communication to support continuity between shifts and departments. Monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and recommend practical process improvements. Complete daily production and performance reporting while supporting departmental and company goals. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. At least two to three years of experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, fulfillment, inventory control, or a related operational environment. At least one year of leadership experience supervising, leading, training, or coordinating employees in a warehouse, production, or distribution environment. Experience managing workflow, assigning labor, prioritizing competing demands, and meeting operational deadlines. Working knowledge of shipping, fulfillment, inventory control, material handling, production, packing, and warehouse safety practices. Strong leadership, coaching, employee-development, and performance-management skills. Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and de-escalation skills. Ability to analyze operational reports, inventory records, production data, and performance metrics. Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and follow-through skills. Ability to remain composed and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn warehouse, shipping, inventory, and HR systems. Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory management systems, shipping software, or ERP systems is preferred. Ability to regularly stand and walk throughout the warehouse and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule Full-time, on-site second-shift position Sunday - Monday 3:30 PM- 12:00 AM. Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, or schedule adjustments based on business needs.
