Universal Logistics of Virginia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Estes Express Lines, Inc. is currently seeking a highly organized and experienced Site Manager to join our transportation team in Talladega, AL. This role is responsible for overseeing driver operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and communication, and supporting drivers as needed. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL-A license and be capable of stepping in to assist with driving responsibilities when necessary.

Schedule:

Full-Time Monday-Friday (with occasional weekend work as needed) 6am - 6pm

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support a team of drivers, ensuring efficient daily operations Coordinate routes, schedules, and driver assignments Manage and report weekly payroll Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) Conduct regular meetings with drivers and leadership Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations Create SOPs specific to this operation Step in to drive when necessary to support operations Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Office tools Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal staff

Qualifications:

Valid CDL-A license (required) Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred Prior management or supervisory experience in transportation/logistics Strong organizational and multitasking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Comfortable leading meetings and managing team performance Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
