Job Description

Essential Functions:
  • Check daily to ensure bed availability for next day intake schedule. Communicate any concerns regarding scheduling to immediate supervisor
  • Complete ALL in-patient intake consents
  • Complete ALL in-patient intake assessments indicating drug use history and medical condition
  • Complete ADMIS entry for admission and discharge
  • Complete Biopsychosocial in adherence to insurance deadline timelines (72 hours)
  • Collect applicable client insurance deductibles and co-payments when required
  • Ensure all payments are properly secured with Operations Manager
  • Performs initial blood pressure check and oxygen stats and alerts APRN of any abnormalities
  • Appropriately screen clients for violent history, sexual offenses, and suicidality.
  • Coordinate pertinent information with Utilization/Concurrent Review Specialists and Billers
  • Work with facility staff, family support systems, and community resources in AMA blocking and ensuring quality client care and continuity of treatment.
  • Instruct and oversee Behavioral Health Technician intake search.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Call Tracking Metrics (CTM)
  • Develop a working knowledge of pre-assessments
  • Perform pre-assessments when necessary.
  • Work to ensure that each client is felt valued by when appropriate, enlisting conversations and gaining a mental health status.
  • Ensure all intake and discharges are charted appropriately in ADMIS within 24 hours of admit/discharge
  • Provide an explanation of forms to clients, ensuring thorough understanding and gaining consent.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and their families, treatment partners, referring facilities, outreach coordinators, marketers, community resources, facility staff, supervisors, utilization review/billers, health care clinicians, and medical and mental health professionals. Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with clients and their families. Ability to communicate program dynamics and culture of care. Time management, ability to work independently, and above average organizational skills required.
Experience:
1 year experience in the field of addiction and mental health or equivalent human services work experience preferred.
Computer Skills:
Computer Literacy in doc, spreadsheet, and email. Proficiency in KIPU Systems Client Management Software (will teach)
Certificates & Licenses:
Valid Driver's License High School Diploma, or GED required
