Director of Operations — Kasim Ventures About us Kasim Ventures is a young, founder-led company in Northwest Arkansas. We operate PLOMO Quesadillas, with restaurants on MLK Blvd and Dickson Street in Fayetteville, and we own Airbnb and rental properties and commercial real estate in downtown Springdale. Our aim is to be the best quesadilla restaurant on the planet, and to run our properties at the same standard: the guest should never leave feeling ordinary. You will work directly with Omar Kasim, the founder. This is not a seat that reports through layers of corporate staff. Omar is in the business every day. He wants an operator who is on site, in the numbers, and honest with him. The role We are hiring a Director of Operations to oversee PLOMO Quesadillas in Northwest Arkansas and our real estate in downtown Springdale. You will run the MLK Blvd and Dickson Street restaurants, work in the stores, oversee the managers there, and also oversee our Airbnb and rental properties and commercial real estate in downtown Springdale, including the team that operates them. This job is very hands-on. This is a builder seat, not a corporate office job. You will be on the floor, at the properties, in Excel, and in the numbers. You must have your own laptop and be proficient with technology. PLOMO Quesadillas Oversee the managers at MLK Blvd and Dickson Street. You are accountable for both stores. Work shifts in the restaurants. Set the standard by doing the work. Own guest experience. A roughly $22 ticket has to feel like $25 or more. Drive sales, labor, food cost, and cleanliness so Northwest Arkansas is profitable. Read the P&L, forecast, and manage the budget. Use the numbers to fix the operation, not only to report them. Find wasted steps, tighten workflows, and put better processes in place. Hire, train, and coach. Hold the team to PLOMO standards. Do not let paperwork or ego outrank the guest. Downtown Springdale real estate Oversee our Airbnb and rental properties and commercial real estate in downtown Springdale, and manage the team that runs them. Own guest and tenant readiness, turnover standards, vendor follow-through, and the property-level numbers. Be on site. This is not remote property management. Work directly with the founder. Bring problems with a recommendation and a plan. Who you are You have real management experience leading people, not only shifts. You are detail-oriented. Small misses in a store, a unit, or a spreadsheet do not get past you. You can read and interpret a P&L, including labor, food cost, and occupancy, and you use it to make decisions. You are a problem-solver. You diagnose issues and fix them without waiting to be told every step. You are proficient in Excel and comfortable with everyday technology. You bring your own laptop and can build and maintain trackers for labor, sales, occupancy, and follow-ups without being asked twice. You make decisions from data, then you go put the fix on the floor. You want to grow with a young company and take more responsibility as Kasim Ventures grows. You have run a restaurant, a hospitality or real estate operation, or both, and you still like being on site. You are organized, calm under pressure, and honest about the numbers. Multi-unit or high-volume hospitality experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, not a requirement. You can work nights, weekends, and the hours the business needs.
