Job Description
Position Summary The Director of Operations is a key member of Anderson Air's Leadership Team, responsible for the operational performance, profitability, and growth of all business divisions. This role oversees Residential Service, Replacement & Installation, and New Construction operations while leading the expansion of Electrical, Plumbing, and Commercial services. This is a growth-stage leadership role: as new divisions launch and scale, the scope and structure of this position will evolve alongside the business. Responsibilities Operational Leadership Own day-to-day operational execution across all field divisions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction at every touchpoint, while proactively identifying gaps and driving continuous process improvement across all service lines. Establish and monitor KPIs for each department; translate data into actionable decisions and hold teams accountable for results. Ensure all work in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and commercial meets or exceeds applicable local, state, and federal code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. Uphold OSHA safety standards, environmental compliance, and company safety procedures across all divisions and job sites.
Financial Management Carry full P&L ownership across all divisions; manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth aligned with company targets. Oversee material costs, vendor relationships, and pricing integrity to protect margin across all trade lines. Provide leadership with regular operational and financial reporting; flag risks and opportunities proactively. Team Development & Accountability Recruit, develop, and retain department managers across all trade divisions; build a bench of capable leaders as the company grows. Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews with direct reports; coach to strengths and address performance gaps directly. Foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and customer focus throughout all field and support teams. Lead weekly operational meetings and participate in leadership huddles, training initiatives, and company planning sessions. Growth & Expansion Lead the operational buildout of Electrical, Plumbing, and Commercial divisions, including staffing, workflows, tooling, and compliance requirements specific to each trade. Collaborate with leadership to develop division-level business plans and growth strategies. Identify scalable systems, technology, and vendor partnerships that support multi-trade expansion. Customer Experience Set and maintain a high standard for customer experience across all divisions; personally own escalated service issues and ensure resolution. Partner with service and install managers to close the loop on customer feedback and eliminate recurring failure points. Qualifications Required 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in home service or trade operations; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or multi-trade backgrounds strongly preferred. Demonstrated P&L ownership and track record of managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving measurable revenue growth. Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and manage KPI frameworks and make data-driven operational decisions. Proven success in developing managers and building high-performing, accountable field teams. Experience with ServiceTitan or comparable field service management software. Preferred Experience leading operational expansion into new trades or markets, particularly standing up a new service line or department from the ground up. Background in residential and commercial service environments. Familiarity with Arkansas contractor licensing requirements and regional compliance standards.
