HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND EXPERIENCED DIRECTOR OF GOLF OPERATIONS
to oversee and build all golf and grounds operations including irrigation, landscape maintenance and groundskeeping for our 18 hole course in the east valley. They will be responsible for building a great level of play and marketing the course to leagues and the community. Hosting tournaments and running a great pro-shop and range. The ideal candidate will
POSSESS STRONG LEADERSHIP
SKILLS and a PASSION for maintaining a beautiful golf course from tee box to fairway to greens. This role involves supervising the entire team from inside to outside, and handling the financial responsibilities of the golf course from budget to actual results. It's a hands on working position with a fair amount of time spent at the front desk and doing marketing, using all channels available, and overseeing the accompanying food and beverage operations. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the entire golf course--from its irrigation systems to its mowing, edging, greens care , tree care, to make sure the grounds team is making the best course possible. Conduct daily inspections of grounds to assess the condition of plants, trees, and turf. And direct the repair as necessary. Manage scheduling and allocation of resources for various upgrade and maintenance projects. Train and mentor team members in best practices on the course, in the shop, and in outside services, as well as food and beverage operations. Collaborate with management and ownership to show your excellent work product and results. Market golf on a daily basis and promote all avenues of increased play on the course Handle budgeting, purchasing , financial responsibility, HR and contract negotiations. Experience Proven multi year experience in opersting the shop and outside staff and grounds keeping staff, as well as promoting all channels of marketing Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Knowledge of pumps and irrigation systems is important. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail, especially with marketing and budgeting. Understanding food and beverage operations is imperative including budgeting and profit and loss calculations.
