T eam Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of ITS Operations Supervisor . The ITS Operations Supervisor reports to the Town Traffic Engineer . The primary job duties of this position include: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Traffic Signal Specialists I, II, and III in the construction, preventive maintenance, and operations of traffic signals. Provide training, direction and supervision necessary to prepare and maintain ITS Operations staff for the installation, diagnostics, repair and operations of ITS equipment associated with their positions. Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate personnel in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronics. Communicate with Engineering Division Staff, the general public, other Town employees, vendors, management and contractors to provide information on the traffic signal and ITS specifications, recommendations, annual reports, and performance evaluations. Give instructions in work procedures, safety practices, technical aspects, department policies and related requirements. Maintain an on-call and emergency response schedule for ITS Operations personnel. The incumbent is subject to call-out during off-duty hours to cover emergency situations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED supplemented by some college-level or technical training course work; and 5 years of experience in traffic signal construction, maintenance, and repair; and 3 years of lead, supervisory or training experience; or any combination of training, education and experience equivalent to the minimum qualifications listed above may be considered. Associate degree or higher preferred.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Arizona Driver's License Ability to obtain and maintain ISMA II or equivalent certification within the first year Additional ITS or signal certifications preferred This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
