Job Description

Operations Manager RNR Tire Express | Glendale, AZ Full-time | $65,000 base salary plus an uncapped revenue and profitability bonus. On-target total compensation of $80,000 to $105,000+, with no ceiling for top performers. About the Role RNR Tire Express Glendale is continuously striving to be a data-driven, systems-run operation: sales and collections scorecards, an inventory replenishment model, and marketing ROI tracking all drive daily decisions. We're hiring an Operations Manager to own the business end-to-end: sales execution, operational discipline, collections, people leadership, and profitability, so the store can grow without depending on the owner for daily execution. No tire or automotive background required. We'll train the product knowledge. We're hiring for someone who can run a P&L, build systems, and lead a team. We set a high bar for this role because we pay to match it. If six figures of total earning potential isn't exciting to you, this probably isn't the right seat. Why This Role Matters This role is for an operations manager who runs a system, not one who reacts to the day. You'll own the forecast, compare actuals to it, and drive the store's performance through the scorecards and management rhythms already in place. We're looking for someone who runs the store on lean business principles: cutting waste, standardizing what works, and managing the team against clear KPIs and SMART goals rather than instinct. And just as important, someone who can build a strong team culture on purpose, not leave it to chance. What a Day Looks Like This is a people-management job first. The large majority of your day is spent on the floor managing, coaching, and holding your team accountable, not buried in paperwork. Expect roughly one to two hours a day on reporting and administrative work; the organization is structured to keep that workload light so you can spend your time where it matters most: leading people and running the business.
Core Accountabilities Revenue Growth :
Drive predictable store growth through sales execution, lead conversion, repeat business, installs, service opportunities, and disciplined follow-up.
Profitability :
Protect gross margin, labor efficiency, and expense control so revenue growth converts to real cash flow and profit, not just top-line numbers.
Operations :
Own daily execution, opening/closing standards, scheduling, inventory, workflow, service quality, facility condition, safety, and compliance.
Customer Experience :
Build a consistent customer experience that drives repeat business, referrals, strong reviews, and fast issue resolution.
People Leadership :
Hire, train, coach, review, and hold the team accountable. Build a strong leadership bench so the store doesn't depend on any one person.
Collections & Account Health :
Maintain disciplined account management, control delinquency, and follow up with customers on rent-to-own agreements.
Management System :
Run the scorecard, complete quarterly priorities, participate in structured accountability meetings, and provide accurate reporting to ownership. What Makes You a Great Fit You've managed a P&L before and can talk about it in specifics. Not just "I helped hit our numbers," but "here's what I forecasted, here's what happened, here's what I changed." You're a builder, not just an operator. You're energized by standing up a scorecard or a process from scratch, not just following one that already exists.
You think in lean principles:
eliminate waste, standardize what works, and improve the process rather than just pushing harder. You manage by KPIs and SMART goals, not gut feel. You set specific, measurable targets for your team and know exactly where each person stands against them at any given moment. You've built strong team culture before, not by accident, but on purpose. You can point to a specific team you shaped and how you did it. You can move fluidly between the spreadsheet and the floor. You learn fast and aren't intimidated by picking up a new industry's fundamentals on the job. Qualifications 3+ years of P&L ownership in a retail, service, or multi-unit business. Industry doesn't matter; what matters is that you owned the numbers and moved them. Demonstrated experience building forecasts, budgets, or scorecards from the ground up, not just maintaining ones handed to you. Come prepared to walk through a real example. Experience managing inventory or cost-control systems in an operational business. Team leadership and hiring experience, with a track record of holding a team accountable to KPIs and SMART goals. Exposure to lean or continuous-improvement principles in a prior operating role. Formal training not required, but you should be able to speak to how you've applied the thinking. A track record of building team culture, not just managing performance. Be ready to describe a specific culture you built and how you measured whether it was working. Comfortable learning a new industry fast. Valid driver's license; ability to pass MVR and background checks. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Compensation & Benefits $65,000 base salary, plus an uncapped monthly bonus tied to revenue growth and store profitability.
There is no ceiling:
the more profitable growth you drive, the more you earn. On-target performance (hitting the store's monthly revenue baseline at strong profitability) puts total compensation at approximately $80,000. Strong performance pushes total compensation toward $105,000 and beyond, with no cap on upside for exceptional results. Quarterly leadership bonus for completing agreed-upon quarterly priorities that strengthen the business, on top of the revenue and profitability bonus. Health care options. 401(k) with company match, rolling out across the company starting October 2026. Paid time off, employee tire/wheel discounts. Professional development stipend. Real ownership over how this store's systems get built, and a clear growth path as the business scales beyond a single location. How to Apply Submit resumes through Indeed only. Please do not visit the location directly. Qualified candidates will be contacted within three business days. RNR Tire Express is an equal-opportunity employer committed to a service-first culture where every team member and customer is treated with respect.
